our sluice. Panning for gemstones, minerals and fossils is an activity that gets the
whole family involved and has been putting smiles on faces for decades.
Start collecting from the 40 specimens of gems and the 32 types of fossils available
from our mineral and fossil bags. Just remember, it's not the size of the stone it's the
quality of the sample. So look careful at your screens because you don't want to toss
away something of value.
The medium and large gem bags will either contain an Indian arrowhead and/or a
crystal point along with a generous sampling of precious and semi-precious stones
and minerals like: copper, amethyst, aqua marine, emerald, ruby, or tiger eye.
The large fossil bags contain samples from all over the world and range from 15,000
years old to 340,000,000 years old. Various types of shark teeth as sharp as the
day they swam the earth's oceans. Large Trilobites from Morocco and the United
States. And the ever popular and illusive bits of Coprolite! All samples are high
quality.
Farm fresh eggs are available in our kamp store direct from our four laying hens.
Yes our eggs have been approved from the county health inspector for sale. There
is nothing like a fresh egg!
Come to our Kamp store and meet "Oreo" our resident king snake. Oreo has been
with us for over a year and learn about him and other desert creatures.
At 50 cents a scoop and all the proceeds going to KOA Kare Kamps how can you
go wrong? So enjoy your Ice Cream with toppings to the latest "G" and "PG" DVD
releases. It all starts at 6:00 pm.
At 8:30 am we start serving waffles, sausage,eggs, and bacon in our main building.
So when you hear the dinner bell ringing in the early morning get up out of bed and
eat something good. Adults $3 kids $2.
When Kampers get together there's always something good cookin'. Join us
during any holiday of the year and we'll usually have a Pot Luck scheduled. So
pick your best recipe and we'll havea celebration!
